Grover Work lets a contractor split a job into payments, such as a deposit, milestones and a final balance, set as percentages of the total. When the customer approves, each payment becomes its own invoice, and the job tracks what has been paid.
On longer jobs, paying for materials and crew out of pocket until the end strains cash flow and puts the contractor in the lender's seat. Staged payments tied to clear points in the work keep both sides comfortable.
The key is agreeing the schedule before the work starts, in writing, so each invoice is expected instead of argued about.
Choose the deposit and milestone percentages and give each a label.
Each payment becomes its own invoice.

Set a deposit and a final payment, or build your own list of milestones as percentages of the total, with a label for each.
When the customer approves the estimate, each payment on the schedule becomes its own invoice, ready to send when you reach that point.
Approved changes are billed on their own, so the milestone amounts you agreed do not shift.
The job shows the original price, approved change orders, the revised total and how much has been paid.
A remodel might be split into a 25 percent deposit, 25 percent at rough-in, 25 percent when cabinets are installed and 25 percent on completion. In Grover Work you set those four labels and percentages on the estimate once. The percentages are yours to choose; these are only an illustration.
Grover Work does not produce AIA-style pay application forms (such as G702 and G703) today. If your commercial clients require them, check that before relying on it.
Progress billing means invoicing a customer in stages as the work advances, rather than once at the end. The stages are usually agreed in the contract as a deposit, milestone payments and a final balance.
You can set a deposit and a final payment, or build your own schedule with as many as 24 payments, each with a label and a percentage of the total.
There is no single right number, and some states limit deposits on certain kinds of work, so check your local rules. Grover Work lets you set the percentage you choose on each estimate.
Yes. An approved change order is billed as its own payment, so your original milestones stay as agreed.
No. Grover Work handles estimates, invoices and payments for the job. It is not full bookkeeping or payroll, so many contractors keep their accountant's tools alongside it.
